From first summits to technical alpine terrain.
Many mountain peaks — with spectacular views — can be reached through trekking and scrambling. Our introductory courses are designed for hikers ready to push into more technical terrain, building the toolkit to make those experiences repeatable and safe.
Our ultimate goal is to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to take these skills into your own adventures — not just follow a guide to the top.

Ready to move into Class 3 and Class 4 terrain? Our technical courses cover route-finding, movement techniques, hazard recognition, and decision-making in the alpine environment. You'll learn how to identify when scrambling turns into climbing — and when to turn around altogether.
View Advanced CoursesInterested in a specific mountain, route, or region? We design custom hiking and scrambling experiences for individuals and small groups. Tell us your goals and we'll help design the right experience for you.

Each course covers different objectives, but here are core skills you may develop along the way.

All scrambling courses currently take place in western Canada. We frequently plan custom courses for specific peaks and regions — just ask.

Awesome time learning to sport climb. Good weather, clearly very knowledgeable guide, and 6 hours later came out prepared to do it myself.
Had a fantastic time on an ice climbing trip booked through Climb Onsight! The process was seamless and we saved so much time on researching guides. The Muskoka Mountainworks guides are the best. They were patient with us newbies and made sure everyone had a nice balance of challenge and fun.
I had a great experience with Climb Onsight. Communication was prompt, scheduling was flexible, and the booking and payment process was simple. I now feel more confident climbing outside, and I wouldn't hesitate booking another experience through Climb Onsight.
