With small group sizes and a low climber-to-guide ratio, these programs often end with a mountain summit.

Mountaineering, Alpinism, and Alpine Climbing
While often used interchangeably, these terms refer to different approaches. In practice they often overlap, and developing skills in all three will only enhance your safety and success in the mountains.
Alpine Climbing
Technical climbing — rock, ice, or mixed — at high elevations, typically in remote and exposed environments.
Alpinism
Light, fast, and self-sufficient ascents, often incorporating technical terrain and minimal gear to reduce weight and time on the mountain.
Mountaineering
The broadest term — the overall effort of summiting mountains. Focuses on managing altitude, route-finding, and weather, and may or may not involve technical climbing.

Once you find the right mountaineering lesson, click "request to book." The guide will get back to you shortly to confirm the time. You will receive an email with the set date, and then you will have 48 hours to pay to reserve your spot.
